The formidable centre-back, who joined the club back in 1997 when he was just 8 years old, worked his way up through the ranks and went on to amass over 200 appearances for his beloved Hammers.
Tomkins then went on to play for Derby County on loan and then Crystal Palace, where he again became a fan favourite, making 125 appearances for the south London club.
The Basildon born player also represented England from U16 level through to U21, then was selected to play for his nation at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
Tomkins, who is now part of The West Ham Way family, has also given an exclusive interview on his retirement from the game, which is available to listen to on The West Ham Way Patreon.

“Thank you to my amazing family for making my career even possible and their continued support over the years,” Tomkins stated on social media today. “Also thank you to all the brilliant coaches and players I have worked with throughout my career.
“I was lucky to play for three clubs, all with amazing fans who make football what it is. I will miss the game, but it’s time to announce my retirement.”
