Everton are in the market to make a big impression under their new owners in the summer market.

The Friedkins are set to back David Moyes with the funds required to rebuild his squad, with numerous players set to leave Merseyside.

It has been quite the transformation for Everton over recent months following the takeover in December.

Moyes has been able to pull the Toffees out of the danger with a 17-point gap on the bottom three coming out of the international break.

Everton will likely sign players after the 30 June PSR window as they look to provide themselves with a clean financial slate.

But it seems the Toffees are already putting in the work to compile a list of potential summer targets for their 61-year-old manager.

Everton showing interest in midfielder Andy Diouf

With a number of players set to leave, Everton are looking to sign midfielders to bolster Moyes’ squad depth for the new campaign.

Idrissa Gana Gueye is expected to stay at Everton, but the likes of Orel Mangala will return to his parent club Lyon.

According to Jeunes Footeux, Everton are one of the sides from the Premier League showing an interest in Andy Diouf.

The RC Lens midfielder has also attracted the interest of Crystal Palace, but Everton view him as a potential replacement for Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Ahead of the summer, Doucoure has admitted he’ll be leaving Everton at the end of his contract.

If Everton are to land the 21-year-old then they are going to have to stump up at least €15m (£13m) to Rens who are keen to maximise their return on the Frenchman.

This is a player who could fit nicely into Moyes’ midfield having played a big role in Lens’ 2024/25 campaign.

Versatility is a big positive for any player and Diouf has shown his ability to play in a central, defensive and even attacking midfield role this season.

Everton are expected to sign Carlos Alcaraz permanently, which would reduce the need for an attacking option.

With the likes of Doucoure departing, an all-round midfield addition could be a huge boost to the squad over the summer.

The Frenchman has already shown this season that is he vastly outperforming Do

ucoure in a number of metrics in all aspects of the game.
