On Thursday night, Burn was spotted at the PDC Premier League darts in Newcastle alongside the likes of Kieran Trippier and Harvey Barnes. Some eagle-eyed fans spotted a sign Barnes had written encouraging fans to follow a social media account, which turned out to be Burn’s.

The comments section was flooded with Newcastle fans who were declaring their love for the big man. England’s Instagram account also left a comment saying: “Big Dan Burn.”
Burn knew he had scored for Newcastle as soon as the ball hit his head in the final. He was unlucky not to score another when he rattled a header off the crossbar against Albania.

If he wasn’t already, Burn has solidified himself as a Newcastle legend. The 32-year-old received the freedom of Northumberland after his Wembley heroics, a fitting honour for the boy from Blyth.
Fans will now be eager to see Burn in the flesh once again to give him his flowers – he has confirmed his involvement in Newcastle’s trophy parade on Saturday.
The streets will be filled with fans throughout the day as Newcastle embark on an open-top bus tour throughout the city, before taking to the stage on the Town Moor to present the trophy to over 100,000 fans.
Newcastle confirmed the itinerary for the event; the bus tour will take place at 4:30pm, but fans have been advised to take their places from 1:30pm to avoid any disappointment.
The players will then take to the stage at 6:35pm where the trophy will be presented to fans on the Town Moor.
