Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou is not likely to cling on in the dugout if he doesn’t deliver Europa League success, sources have told Football Insider.
Silverware in Europe would salvage the season for Spurs and qualify them for the Champions League in the 2025-26 campaign.
But in the meantime, defeat in the upcoming London derby against rivals Chelsea on Thursday (3 April) could heap huge pressure on Postecoglou.
The Australian’s side sit 14th in the Premier League ahead of the clash at Stamford Bridge – with the Blues winning the reverse fixture 4-3 in December.
‘Europa League or bust’ for Postecoglou this season
Sources have told Football Insider that this season is now “Europa League or bust” for Postecoglou – who is under contract at Spurs until June 2027.
Tottenham face Eintracht Frankfurt across two legs in the competition’s quarter-final this month – starting with the home clash on 10 April.
