Everton are moving to the new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock later this year – and there is still a chance Idrissa Gana Gueye may not be coming with the club.
As things currently stand, Idrissa Gana Gueye will leave the club when his contract expires this summer.
Supposedly, Gueye is open to remaining at Everton.
But the lack of movement over a contract extension has had some Evertonians a bit concerned.
That said, it has also been reported that Everton are keen to extend Gueye’s contract, so hopefully there will be some developments soon.
It has been a difficult season at times for Everton. But Gueye has been pretty consistent throughout, and is seemingly actually getting better as the campaign wears on.
And now, one remarkable statistic has emerged about Gueye that simply must spring David Moyes and The Friedkin Group into action.

Gueye has long been know for his tackling abilities.
The Senegalese dynamo is brilliant at winning the ball back for his team, and must be a nightmare to come against with his energy and tenacity.
But there is a new statistic about Gueye that has emerged – and is seriously shows just how incredible he is at this one particular skill.

As per Squawka, Gueye has now made over 100 tackles this season – becoming the first player in Europe’s top five leagues to achieve the feat.
This is actually the seventh time the star has achieved this in his career, which is truly amazing to consider.
He’s currently made 110 tackles, and the highest he’s ever made in a single season is 144 in the 2015/16 season. That was when he was playing for Aston Villa.
But this current season is the fourth time Gueye has managed to make over 100 tackles for Everton.
David Moyes cannot lose Gueye
So Gueye has been incredibly combative once again, and this data really does suggest him as being one of the very best ball winners of the last 10 years or so.
Gueye just cannot be allowed to leave on a free transfer this summer.
He may be 35 and turning 36 in September. But there have been no immediate signs of Gueye’s level dropping.
Arguably, he’s actually going from strength to strength. Even if he doesn’t play regularly next term, he surely has a wealth of experience to offer in the dressing room.
It seems Everton will be happy to lose Abdoulaye Doucoure this summer. But
letting Gueye depart would surely be a mistake.
