West Ham suffered a 1-0 defeat to Wolves leaving Graham Potter’s side in 16th place in the Premier League.
The Hammers started brightly when captain Jarrod Bowen escaped in behind the Wolves defence in the 16th minute, however the England international played his pass slightly behind Evan Ferguson for what would have been an easy tap in.

One of the bright sparks on the night for the visitors was Alphonse Areola, as just minutes later he made an excellent save down to his left to deny Toti Gomes, following Rayan Air-Nouri’s delivery.
However, off the back of his brace against bottom side Southampton, Jorgen Strand Larsen continued his scoring form to put Wolves ahead after 21 minutes.
The Norwegian received a pass from Emmanuel Agbadou before his strike took a wicked deflection off Maximilian Kilman and into the back of the net.
Strand Larsen’s fortuitous goal proved enough for Wolves to claim all three points at Molineux on Tuesday night (1 April).

Was substituted at half-time due to a change in formation and West Ham looked better for it.

Had a steady game at left-wing back, but was unable to affect the game in an attacking sense.

Narrowly missed with a long-range effort early in the match, but failed to control the game against Wolves’ energetic midfield.
Lucas Paqueta – 6
Playing in a slightly deeper role, the Brazilian struggled to impact the game in the final third.

Had a few bright moments and as usual was West Ham’s brightest player going forward, however the lacked the quality in the big moments.

Replacing Mohammed Kudus in the side, Guilherme failed to drive his team up the pitch like the Ghanian.
Evan Ferguson (off for Nicolas Fullkrug 45′) – 3
Should have scored his first West Ham goal as he squandered a huge chance in the first-half when he failed to time his run to meet the ball from Bowen.

Allowed West Ham to control the ball better in the second half, however could not get his side back into the game.
Emerson (on for Ollie Scarles 77′) – 5
Missed a big chance to level the game late on when he was unable to guide his volley into the near post.

Squandered the best chance of the second-half when the midfielder dragged his shot past the near post in the 89th minute.

Was overrun by Joao Gomes in the Wolves midfield and struggled to get up to the speed of the game after coming on at half-time.
