A GRANDAD was battered by ‘Green Brigade ultras for wearing a pro-Israel badge’ during a game at Celtic Park.
The 54-year-old Hoops fan was left with a fractured sternum after being booted down stairs while watching the Celtic v Hearts match a week past Saturday.

The man, who has been named by the Glasgow Friends of Israel as Anthony, had to go to hospital for treatment after the shocking incident in the south-west corner of the 60,000 stadium housing home fans.
They later posted on social media platform X, claiming that the victim had obtained the pin from their stall, usually located in the city centre.
The group also revealed he was left coughing up blood and prescribed morphine to cope with the pain of the attack.
The tweet read: ‘A grandfather was assaulted by two thugs at the Celtic FC game because he was wearing a pro-Israel badge he had collected from our stall.

‘Like many thousands of Celtic fans, he supports the football team but is against terrorism.
‘Anthony has been to hospital several times since Saturday: he has a fractured sternum and is coughing up blood.
‘The assault itself was much worse than we believed at first, with Green Brigade neanderthals kicking him down several flights of stairs.’
The group claimed that ‘stewards did nothing’ but police reacted to seeing incident on CCTV.
The group also demanded Celtic distance themselves from the group who continually pour shame on the club.

The incident happened around 3.25pm on March 29 during the match which Celtic won 3-0 with two goals from Daizen Maeda and one from Jota.
Constable Ryan Beveridge from Police Scotland said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this incident and would urge anyone with information to come forward.”
In a previous incident, Celtic fans unfurled an anti-Zionist banner during the club’s Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.
In October 2023, several Palestine flags were also flown during a 2-2 draw with Atletico Madrid, alongside a banner — despite the club urging fans to refrain from such displays.
UEFA took action afterward, fining Celtic £15,000 for what they described as a “provocative message of an offensive nature.”
In February, former Celtic player Eyal Berkovic launched a scathing attack on Celtic fans and Ireland, accusing supporters of his former club of harboring “crazy hatred.”
A spokesman for Celtic said: “We understand that police are investigating this incident and Celtic are assisting with these enquiries, as such it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage”.
