Lucas Paqueta has experienced a terrible time of things with West Ham United since the summer of 2023.
West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta has a lot of serious stuff going on off the pitch right now.
The 27-year-old Hammers ace faces four separate charges after allegedly deliberately picking up four yellow cards from November 2022 to August 2023.
And West Ham star Lucas Paqueta could be banned for life if he is found guilty of those charges.

If he is indeed proven guilty, it would be a disaster for him and everyone at the London Stadium as well in all fairness.

Things seem to be looking up for Paqueta though.
And big change could be on the way for him this summer.

The Brazil international’s trial has been ongoing for just under three weeks now.
And it has been claimed that things are actually looking quite good for Paqueta, with a favourable outcome now definitely possible.
But what will happen if he is proven to be innocent?
According to Claret and Hugh, Paqueta is expected to leave the London Stadium this summer, if he is cleared of all the charges levelled against him.
That actually wouldn’t be a bad thing at all for the Hammers.
If the Brazilian is proven not-guilty, West Ham should still be able to get a decent fee for him – at least £30 million or more.

Paqueta is a very god footballer when he’s on top form, but he’s just not consistent enough, and Potter desperately needs to move on some players in order to help facilitate the rebuild that is required at the London Stadium.
Nobody would have thought that the Brazilian had a big summer transfer lying in wait for him, when he was officially charged just before the start of the season.
Real reason why Lucas Paqueta didn’t hand over his phone to the FA
The former Lyon man has really been through the wringer over the past 20 months or so.
Things took a turn for the worse for him towards the end of last year, when he was unable to hand over his phone to the FA.
That didn’t sound good at all when it became public knowledge.
However, the real reason as to why he didn’t give his phone to the football association actually makes sense.
According to the Daily Mail, the FA ‘seized Paqueta’s phone for two months last year while investigators looked into his messages, calls, and banking history, so he bought a new one. They gave it back, but recalled it as they wanted to check extra details, however Paqueta had thrown it away’.
Let’s hope that this situation all gets wrapped up soon, and West Ham manage to get a decent fee for Lucas Paqueta.
