The Green Brigade have announced their latest community initiative ahead of Saturday’s Premiership clash with Kilmarnock, calling on Celtic fans to contribute to an Easter Egg collection for local children and a wider appeal to support the Glasgow Children’s Hospital charity.
In a post shared via their North Curve X account, the group urged supporters to bring Easter Eggs and arts and crafts supplies to Area 111 outside Celtic Park before the game.
“This year, we are collecting Easter Eggs for children at local foodbanks to enjoy,” the statement read. “Additionally, we will be collecting arts and crafts supplies to support the Glasgow Children’s Hospital charity. Contributions can be left outside Area 111. Cash donations are also welcome and appreciated. Thank you for your generosity.”
The safe standing section has been a vibrant and influential part of the matchday experience at Celtic Park, often setting the tone both vocally and visually. Their commitment off the pitch to supporting local communities has drawn admiration and become a key part of their identity.
Celtic were founded on charity, so it’s great that fans remember their routes.
Saturday’s match could also mark a key point in Celtic’s title race, depending on Rangers’ result at Aberdeen the following day. Celtic are six points away from winning the league, with six matches left to play.
A win on Saturday and then Aberdeen doing Celtic a favour at Pitodrie on Sunday will see Celtic crowned Champions.
But alongside the football, fans are once again being urged to show their support in a different way—by helping bring a little joy to children across Glasgow this Easter.
