Spurs have had a horrid campaign, with the club struggling with form all season. after a season marred with injuries.
They currently sit in the bottom half of the table with just 11 wins out of 31, having lost 16 league games so far. Not only have they been knocked out of the domestic cups, but their sole hope of qualifying for European football next season lies on them winning the Europa League this season.
Failure to qualify for Champions League football could result in several star players looking for moves away to play at the highest level.
Cristian Romero is already linked with an exit, with Atletico Madrid emerging as strong contenders to sign him. Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski have also been linked with exits.
Another player expected to leave the club at the end of the season is attacker Timo Werner.
Timo Werner set to leave Tottenham at the end of the season
He has failed to impress the club during his loan spell and is now expected to leave as reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist posted on X, confirming that Spurs will not be signing Werner on a permanent deal and the player will return to Leipzig, in search for other clubs.
He posted the following:
“Tottenham position has not changed: Spurs won’t sign Timo Werner on permanent deal from RB Leipzig.
“He’s s gonna leave #THFC in June, return to Leipzig and assess new club options, as he’s expected to leave the German side again.”

Werner’s underwhelming time at Spurs
Werner initially arrived at Spurs in January 2024 on loan and made an immediate impression by assisting Rodrigo Bentancur’s equaliser in a 2-2 draw against Manchester United.
The club extending his loan for another year in the summer after being impressed however, despite a promising start, his overall contributions have been underwhelming.
He has managed just one goal and three assists in 27 appearances across all competitions this season, with most of his game time coming from the bench.
The German has also had fitness issues, with the player missing 11 games with injuries this season.
