Celtic skipper Callum McGregor has revealed whether he will be watching Aberdeen vs Rangers tomorrow afternoon at Pittodrie, in a game where, if Rangers lose, Celtic will be crowned Scottish Premiership champions.

With McGregor playing his part this afternoon in a brilliant 5-1 win over Kilmarnock at Celtic Park, McGregor was cautious in how he approached the question of whether he will actually watch the Rangers game.

Celtic put on one of their best performances of the season this afternoon, finding themselves 4-0 up after 24 minutes, with Greg Taylor marking his return to the starting XI with a man of the match performance.

When asked’ Callum, what do you do tomorrow? Do you watch the Aberdeen-Rangers game? Because it could have a bearing on whether you win the title this weekend. What do you do?’

He said: (Sky Sports), “I don’t think we’ll be actively sitting down to watch it, but obviously, it’s all on TV, so you might come across it at some point.

“Of course, you’re watching with a bit of interest in terms of the scoreline and seeing what happens. We can’t control what everyone else does—we can only control what we do and the performances we give.

“We’ve done our job, and then we’ll see what happens tomorrow. If not, then once we come back after the semi-final, we’ll have another chance then.”

A mixed response from McGregor, who wasn’t likely going to say he would sit for 90 minutes and watch a Rangers game. Rather, he may check the scoreline every so often to see if it’s in Celtic’s favour or not in winning the Scottish Premiership title this weekend.

Tomorrow could be a huge afternoon for Celtic, but it may also not be. It’s unfortunate the Hoops couldn’t get the win last weekend against St Johnstone.

However, the response this afternoon was in large part due to the reaction the team would have gotten from Brendan Rodgers and the Celtic coaching staff in training this week.

It’s a question of if they can keep this level up for the remaining weeks of the season, but it’s clear that when Celtic play at the top of their game, they are a joy to watch, and a lot of that can be credited to Callum McGregor’s leadership.
