Everton were handed a controversial penalty against Arsenal, which saw Iliman Ndiaye score on his full return to the starting XI.
However, the second half saw a much-improved display from the Blues that made them full value for the point they secured.
Speaking to the media on Monday, Ancelotti hailed the work done by Mikel Arteta in north London with his Arsenal side.
“I appreciate what he said about me. He came here when I left for Everton in 2020 and in five years he’s taken this team to the top of Europe,” he said.
“He’s doing very well and he’s built a complete team. There are not many complete teams in Europe. There are some that do some things very well, but there are not many complete teams like Arsenal.
“He’s doing a fantastic job. They are stronger with him than in the past.”
Considering Ancelotti thinks Arsenal are one of Europe’s best sides, it just goes to show how far Everton have come in such a short space of time under Moyes.
Moyes led Everton to a comeback against Arsenal and it should not go unnoticed that Everton are putting in some solid work ahead of the summer.
