“Ahead of Kudus” | Former Hammer calls on Potter to make huge call – The West Ham Way

Former West Ham player Martin ‘Mad Dog’ Allen has called on Graham Potter to drop Mohammed Kudus.
It’s fair to say that Kudus’ form has been symbolic of the season in east London as a whole, with just 3 goals in the Premier League this season – with many anticipating we’d be closer to the 20 mark at this stage.
Following our 2-2 draw with Bournemouth last week, Potter opted to bring on Luis Guilherme from the bench in the 84th minute – with the young Brazilian impressing during that cameo display.
Speaking exclusively on The West Ham Way Patreon with Mark Carlaw and ExWHUEmployee on his weekly Podcast, Allen feels that Potter should provide more time for Guilherme, nodding to the fact that it could well be Kudus’ final season in east London.
“If the club are to sell Kudus, which looks likely, then he needs to start playing Guilherme – he’s ahead of him now for me,” said the former West Ham midfielder.
“Kudus is fabulous on his day but its been a poor season, for us and for him personally too. Guilherme looked very good when he came on, he’s the future – so play him now and give him a run of games.”
