Everton’s strong form under David Moyes continued on Saturday when they beat Champions League hopefuls Nottingham Forest 1-0.
The Toffees successfully bounced back from their Merseyside Derby defeat to Liverpool with a 1-1 draw with Arsenal at Goodison Park on 5 April.
Moyes’ men then showed their class once more when Abdoulaye Doucoure bagged a late winner against Forest at the City Ground.
Now that the Toffees have basically secured their Premier League status again, Moyes and Co can turn their attention towards the summer transfer window.

Everton to reopen their interest in Brighton star Evan Ferguson
The Toffees made an offer for Brighton striker Evan Ferguson before the Seagulls opted to send him on loan to West Ham in the winter transfer window.
The Ireland international’s loan move to the Hammers has not been a success so far, as he has failed to score in six outings for Graham Potter’s men.
According to TeamTalk, Everton are set to reignite their interest in Ferguson, with West Ham unlikely to acquire the forward permanently.
The report adds that the Toffees will be in the market for a new striker this summer, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin set for the exit door.

Amid their interest in Ferguson, the Toffees have also set their sights on Ipswich striker Liam Delap, who has performed admirably well for the Tractor Boys despite their relegation struggles, scoring 12 goals.

But if Everton sign Ferguson rather than Delap, the man on loan at West Ham from Brighton could prove to be a good signing for Moyes.
While he is not enjoying a successful loan spell at the London Stadium, he has previously proven his ability to score goals in the Premier League in his time with the Seagulls.
The Ireland international burst onto the scene in the 2022/23 season when he scored 10 goals and created three assists in 25 appearances across all competitions.
He went on to score six Premier League goals for the South Coast outfit last term, and at 20 years old, he still has plenty of potential.
