Glenn Hoddle has come to the defence of one Spurs youngster, who made a poor error against Wolves and has made a prediction about the player which will excite Tottenham fans.
Tottenham Hotspur only have themselves to blame for slumping to a 4-2 loss at the Molineux Stadium as all four of the home side’s goals came as a result of errors from Spurs players.
Lucas Bergvall, who was a second-half substitute, was the guilty party for the final goal of the game, with the Swede being robbed in the final third by Mateus Cunha, who curled an effort past Guglielmo Vicario.
The goal came as a sucker punch, coming as it did just a minute after Richarlison had given the Lilywhites a lifeline, and it meant that Tottenham go into the all-important second leg against Eintracht Frankfurt on the back of a bruising defeat.

Glenn Hoddle has now come to the defence of Bergvall, praising the 19-year-old for the way he has taken to football at the highest level after being thrown into the deep end by Ange Postecoglou.
The Tottenham legend is convinced that the young midfielder can become a world-beater when he matures over the next few years.
Hoddle said about Bergvall to TNT Sports: “For me, the most important thing is he’s been thrown in, he’s had to be thrown in in half the games, but mentality-wise, he’s more than coped with it.
“And it’s just going to grow and grow. When he’s 24, what’s he going to be like? He’s learnt so quickly. Some people take two seasons to grow and they progress and they improve.
“He’s improved in such a quick time. So what he’s going to be like when he’s 23, 24… he’s going to be frightening.”
Tottenham’s struggles this season come with a silver lining
While Spurs’ season has been nightmarish so far, there is a silver lining to the struggles that the team is currently going through.
Youngsters such as Lucas Bergvall, Archie Gray, and Wilson Odobert are getting vital experience at the highest level under immense pressure and they will be much better for it in the years to come.
Part of that process is making errors like the one Bergvall made against Wolves, which he will undoubtedly learn from. The hope for Spurs fans is that the pain of this process is a prelude to the reward that follows over the coming seasons.
