Mathys Tel and Richarlison’s strikes at either end of the second half gave Tottenham hope of salvaging something, but both were quickly met with Wolves responses with much of the damage already done.

However, barely two minutes into the contest, Vicario was there to give Wolves a helping hand, palming a cross unconvincingly away, and straight into the path of the left-back, who volleyed home to make it 1-0.
