Newcastle United fans on social media are all saying the same thing about Will Osula now
Jonathan Gorrie
3 – 4 minutes
William Osula is in a rather curious position at Newcastle United.
Osula joined Newcastle United from Sheffield United last summer but is yet to make much of an impact in the first-team.
In the striker’s defence, he hasn’t been handed much of a chance. The 21-year-old has been given only three starts, none of which have come in the Premier League.
That is despite the fact Newcastle don’t have reliable back-up for Alexander Isak, who has endured slight injury problems throughout the campaign.
Callum Wilson should provide that on paper but has missed large chunks of the season once again and has scored just one goal in 17 appearances across all competitions.
Fit again now, Wilson has replaced Isak off the bench during the last few games, while Osula hasn’t featured since the 3-0 win over Leicester earlier this month.
On social media, Newcastle fans are unhappy with that.

Newcastle United fans swarm to make Will Osula demand online
Newcastle rate Osula’s potential but first-team minutes remain few and far between.
That is perhaps natural at this stage of the season. The stakes are very high indeed and throwing him in all of a sudden feels unwise.
Still, fans on social media platform X are calling for the Dane to be handed more of a chance following Saturday’s loss to Aston Villa.
Again were is Osula ? Game gone how can he develop with out minutes ? #NUFC

“What has Osula got to do for minutes?” asked one supporter.
Another said: “Why Wilson is on the pitch instead of giving Osula at least a chance I don’t know.”
“I’m getting so fed up of Wilson getting minutes. He offers NOTHING. What harm would it possibly do, to bring on someone young, fast and desperate in Osula?” was another question.
One fan added: “I keep saying it. But I really wish we’d stop bringing Wilson on for Isak and start using Osula instead.”
“Osula has pace, strength, good feet, energy, basically everything Wilson used to have but hasn’t got any more,” claimed another.
Another fan wrote: “Only thing that’s bugging me at the minute is Wilson/Willock getting on ahead of Osula. They’ve both done absolutely nothing for ages. Give him his opportunity!”

Newcastle excited by Will Osula’s potential
It’s not just the Newcastle fans who are seemingly excited about Osula’s potential.
Newcastle United assistant manager Jason Tindall thinks Osula could become a top player at some point. In Eddie Howe, he looks to have the perfect manager under which to develop.

Will Osula’s stats for Newcastle United
The Newcastle United manager has brought a raft of players on during his time at the club. There must be a reason as to why he cannot get into the team right now.
Newcastle paid around £15million for Osula and, at some point, they’ll surely start seeing a return on
that investment.
