Brendan Rodgers Snubs Title Celebrations To Plot Rangers Revenge

Brendan Rodgers has shared how he plans to celebrate Celtic’s 55th league title win tonight after the dominant 5-0 victory over Dundee United this afternoon, which secured the Hoops’ fourth consecutive Scottish Premiership title.

While Rodgers is keen to enjoy the moment, his thoughts are already on next Sunday’s trip to Ibrox to face Rangers.

Speaking after the title win, Rodgers explained that he would be keeping his celebrations low-key and relaxed.

He said: (TCW), “I think I’ll go back to the stadium. I haven’t organised anything. Because you just never know.

“But no, I’ll go back. I’ll have a glass of wine later and then see what happens. We’re giving the boys a couple of days off. We’ll regroup again on Tuesday.

“Because we don’t play until Sunday. We’ll go back on Tuesday.

“We will let the guys enjoy it because you have to celebrate that. And then we’ll get ready for next weekend.”

Even though winning the title is a special moment, Rodgers is already thinking about the big test at Ibrox. He is making sure the celebrations stay controlled so the team stays focused and ready for the derby.

With a domestic treble still up for grabs, Rodgers knows how important it is to keep the momentum going. The players will get a short break before turning their attention to next Sunday’s massive clash.

Having now won his 11th major trophy with Celtic, Rodgers will be aiming to add even more silverware as the season reaches its final weeks.

As the Hoops enjoy their latest title triumph, all eyes are now on Ibrox, where Celtic will look to move one step closer to a historic treble.
