DAIZEN MAEDA couldn’t resist aiming a cheeky dig at Rangers after Celtic clinched the league title at Tannadice.
Brendan Rodgers‘ men thrashed Dundee United 5-0 to officially seal four-in-a-row, with Maeda failing to find the net on a rare outing.

He did, however, provide two assists in the rout – taking him to 42 goal involvements for the season.
The electric Japanese forward has been Celtic‘s star man this season and will no doubt be crowned Player of the Year at the end of the campaign.
He could win his second Treble for the Hoops next month when Celtic face Aberdeen in the Hampden showpiece on May 24.
Since moving to Glasgow, Maeda has only missed out on TWO domestic trophies.

The 26-year-old made his feelings clear regarding Celtic’s dominance in Scottish football when he returned for the title party at Parkhead.
Rodgers addressed the thousands of Celtic supporters who gathered outside the stadium to welcome their heroes back following the five-goal rout in Dundee.
As did Maeda, who had the crowd – and team-mates – in hysterics with his comments.
During the interview, Celtic TV presenter Gerry McCulloch asked Maeda to provide a comment to the fans who turned out and “adore” him.
He wasted no time in delivering a hilarious response.

The attacker first of all revealed he was “happy to be champion again”, before hushing the crowd ahead of his three-word killer quip.
He then shouted: “Glasgow is Green.”
The Celtic crowd cheered and his team-mates James Forrest, Luke McCowan and Scott Bain were seen laughing along.
And punters on social media loved it too, with some demanding – albeit tongue in cheek – that a statue should be erected in the player’s honour.

Taking to X, one fan simply wrote: “Statue NOW.”
Another agreed: “Build the statue, and name the stadium after him, give him a new contract. All of it.”
While someone else simply asked: “New contract – get this man tied in for the long haul please.”
