Sky Sports Brilliantly Troll Kris Boyd by resurfacing his argument online After Celtic Seal Title Number 55 | Latest Celtic News
Sky Sports have delivered a cheeky dig at their own pundit Kris Boyd following Celtic’s title-clinching victory at Tannadice, and it was pitch-perfect.

The broadcaster threw it back to a heated exchange from May 2024, when Boyd passionately argued that Rangers were built on league championships, clashing with Chris Sutton, who coolly reminded him that dominance in recent times told a different story. Sutton’s quip back then, “give it a year”, when Boyd had said Rangers had won the most out of the big two, has now aged like fine wine.
Fast forward 12 months and Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic side have stormed to their 55th Scottish league title, drawing level with Rangers’ tally and overtaking them in total major honours, now sitting at 120 to their rivals’ 118. Celtic have the chance to extend that to 121 in May when they face Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup final.
Sky Sports couldn’t resist capitalising on the moment. In a social media post, they replayed Boyd’s rant — but with a dark filter and circus-style music overlayed for effect. The video then cuts sharply to scenes of Celtic fans and players celebrating their latest league success, driving home Sutton’s point with style.
It would have been great to have Boydy on Sky Sports at Tannadice yesterday. His absence was strange – he seems to be able to cover every other game fine.
