David Moyes did a sterling job after coming in and replacing Sean Dyche, but he knows good recruitment is vital in the comings weeks so that Everton can push on.

Everton are prioritising four positions at the moment, and one of those is a new striker.

It is expected Dominic Calvert-Lewin will leave Everton after apparently failing to reach an agreement over an extension.

Armando Broja is returning to Chelsea after his loan spell, which just leaves Beto, who himself has been linked with Leeds United.

One player Everton have looked at potentially signing this summer is the Lazio striker Taty Castellanos – and Moyes may have just received some good news.

It has been reported in an exclusive by The Laziali that Lazio are looking to sign Giacomo Raspadori this summer.

They want to acquire his services, and are ready to facilitate the exit of Castellanos in order to make that happen.

Castellanos is deemed to be far from ‘untouchable’ at Lazio, and the club would apparently be ready to sanction a sale for around £25 million this summer.

Raspadori’s profile is said to be well appreciated at Formello.

Napoli striker Raspadori is also tracked by the likes of Inter, AC Milan and AS Roma though, so Lazio may not have a straight run at him.

But clearly there is scope now for Everton to move if they wish to do so.

Everton are also interested in Nick Woltemade of Stuttgart.

And there’s also been reports of interest from Everton in Aleksandar Mitrovic recently.

But Castellanos could be someone really worth considering by the Toffees.

He scored 14 goals last season, which was more than Dusan Vlahovic – a big name who has long been linked with a move to England.

Appearances – 40
Minutes played – 3080
Goals – 14
Assists – 8

He also scored as many as former Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, who also got 14 across all competitions for Napoli.

Argentina international Castellanos has been compared by Breaking The Lines to both Diego Simeone, for his physical power, and Gabriel Batistuta for his attacking prowess, and Moyes might just find a gem with the South American
