After the loss at St Johnstone in the Premiership at the start of the month, Rodgers was scathing of his players, and since then, the team has gone goal crazy, including netting 15 goals in their last three games.
Over the weekend, Celtic thrashed Dundee United to confirm the much-awaited 55th Premiership title, and fourth overall for Rodgers.
This is the Celtic manager’s second stint in charge of Scotland’s most successful club, and everything is going rosy just like the first spell.
But Rodgers’ current Celtic contract runs out during the summer of 2026, and there has been a lot of talk around whether or not he will pen a new deal.
The Northern Irishman has said a lot of stuff about his future, especially after the title was secured, and Michael Stewart was reacting to what he was hearing now from the man in the Celtic Park dugout.

It’s pretty clear, Rodgers won’t repeat his sins of Leicester City, or else, he won’t be allowed back in Glasgow.
But Stewart reacted with surprise and laughter after Premier Sports host Darrell Currie shared that Rodgers went from saying he is ‘150%’ staying to ‘200%’ staying.
One thing is for sure: Rodgers is trying to make it clear to all that he won’t be going anywhere this time around.
“I am sure you heard Brendan Rodgers, there has been a wee bit of speculation in the last few weeks that, maybe in the summer, if the board didn’t deliver the players that he wanted, if he wasn’t thoroughly backed, he might move on,” shared host Currie.
“I did say a few weeks ago that there is absolutely no chance that he was going anywhere. When he signed that new contract when he came back to the club, he said, the one thing he could guarantee this time was that he will see it out, regardless.
“But he has confirmed that, in more ways that one, after the game at the weekend saying, ‘200%’, if you like in his words that he is going to be there next season, so, now there is a bit of pressure on the board to deliver what he wants.”
Stewart then interjected: “Darrell, I think you are exaggerating. I am pretty sure he said, ‘it was 150%’, not ‘200%’.”
Currie then added: “No, he went again. He went again. Post-match at the weekend. He said ‘200’. He has gone 50% higher.”
Stewart then stated: “No way. No way!”

A modern-day great and somebody whose legacy will grow further and further once he steps away for good.
Since the turn of the century, the man highly regarded by the fans is Martin O’Neill, but it’s fair to say that there is now a debate to be had about the two.
Not only has Rodgers taken Celtic to heights never seen before, but he has made everyone else around the champions look abject beyond belief.
