Everton will be in the market for a new striker in the summer transfer window, and they have already held talks over a potential target.
David Moyes is keen to strengthen the attacking firepower within his squad, and with the Toffees also lacking quality depth upfront, a new striker is necessary.
Everton have climbed up the Premier League table since Moyes returned to Goodison Park, and a new centre-forward could help lead his side into a new era at Bramley-Moore Dock.
Strasbourg star Emanuel Emegha has been targeted, but with the Ligue 1 side part of a multi-club model including Chelsea, the Premier League side will have a say over where he ends up.
Everton in talks for Emegha
Emegha has impressed in France this season, and the striker is coveted by several clubs including Everton.
TBR Football (30 April) have now reported that Everton have already “held talks” about Emegha, with West Ham, Fulham and Brentford are also interested in the striker.

Strasbourg are ready to let Emegha leave as owners BlueCo are keen on making a profit on him, despite some at Chelsea believing that they should give him a chance at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea staff are said to be “impressed” by the 22-year-old and may even consider bringing him in, but if they do not, the door will be open for Everton to sign him.
Emegha could replace Dominic Calvert-Lewin at Everton
As it stands, long-serving striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is set to depart Everton on a free transfer, after a few years of struggles with injuries.
The 28-year-old has scored just three times in 22 games this season, and has fallen behind Beto in the pecking order.
Everton should now allow Calvert-Lewin, who is one of their highest earners, to depart, and Emegha could be the ideal younger replacement for him.
At 1.96 metres tall, Emegha offers the same physical profile as Beto as well as an aerial threat, and with 14 Ligue 1 goals to his name this season, the Dutchman is clearly developing a strong eye for goal.
It is unclear what kind of price tag Emegha would carry, but he could be a good long-term investment for the Toffees as a young target man with the potential to improve.
