Premier League club’s fans desperate for £26m man to stay this summer after Leeds United links

Leeds United continue to add Premier League players to their summer shortlist but one player strongly linked with a move to Elland Road has been urged by his club’s supporters to stay put.
A priority for The Whites is a striker with doubts hanging over the head of Joel Piroe, and whether Leeds can trust him to score the goals necessary to keep Daniel Farke’s side in the Premier League.
Piroe has not played in the Premier League and during his two-year stint in the Championship with Leeds, he has sometimes gone missing. He went nine games without a goal before his four goals against Stoke.
Mateo Joseph could join Betis and Patrick Bamford’s future is in doubt, with the one-time England man set to enter the final year of his contract. Leeds are said to be targeting Everton’s £26m striker Beto.

Everton fans have their say on Beto after Newcastle display
On the final day of the season, Everton surprised many with a shock 1-0 win away at Newcastle United. The Toon still managed to qualify for the Champions League thanks to Man United’s win over Aston Villa.
But Everton have improved under David Moyes and one example of that is Beto. The former Udinese man has been linked with a surprise move to Leeds, with Angus Kinnear already leaving Leeds for The Toffees.
Everton fans took to social media after watching Beto produce another impressive display as the club’s sole striker, urging him to stay this summer – even if the forward did not actually get on the scoresheet.

One Everton fan went through his side’s players and rated Beto “8.5/10” before urging Everton to ignore Leeds’ advances, posting: “Power, speed, chaos, and goals is what he brings, he’s a keep for next season.”
Another said Dom Calvert-Lewin is on “big wages but is not as good as Beto”, when discussing Everton’s options up top next season. Calvert-Lewin has been touted with a free agent move to Elland Road, too.
Everton need to keep Beto next season, he’s come on so much, far bigger rebuild going on than replacing him.

It would be “daft” to keep Calvert-Lewin and not Beto according to another Toffees supporter after the striker’s performances against Newcastle, while another thinks Beto will remain having started on Sunday.

What Beto has said about his future at Everton amid Leeds links
The reports of Leeds’ interest in Beto came as a surprise given he still has two years on his Toffees deal and given he is finally proving his transfer fee, would be an expensive purchase for those on Yorkshire.
Beto says he will not give up and continue to fight for his place in the Everton side: “This is football, you know, it’s a hard game – but I’m happy. I’m happy to fight, to prove myself every day. I will never stop.”
Leeds have been linked with plenty of other strikers. Just recently, Leeds have informed AZ Alkmaar that £25m is too much for Troy Parrott, while the club are battling Paris FC to sign USG star Promise David.
‘Beto done at Everton’ as price tag set ahead of summer window
Beto could be set to depart Goodison in the summer as Everton set out their stall early.
The Toffees have had a positive upturn in form since David Moyes returned to the dugout earlier in the campaign.
There is no doubt that the Scot will have hopes of maintaining that positivity moving into what could prove to be a busy transfer window.
This could see outgoing deals play their part with Beto potentially set to make his way out of Merseyside once the summer gets underway.

Beto future uncertain as Everton price tag set
The 27-year-old had a sharp burst of form when the former West Ham head coach came in as he netted five goals in February alone.
As positive as that run was, the Guinea-Bissau international has failed to score a single goal since then in a disappointing run.
This has seen Moyes experiment with Armando Broja, who has returned early from an injury to take the place of the ex-Udinese man.
When the Albanian returns to Chelsea at the end of his loan, the need for a new forward option will be huge.
That could see the Toffees make a swoop to bring Richarlison back to L4 from Tottenham ahead of the Bramley-Moore Dock move.
Spurs see the Brazil international as maxed out in North London and as a result have set a price tag of £30million on the forward’s head [The Boy Hotspur, 1 April].
The Evertonians are said to have already held talks with the Lilywhites, which is likely to be bad news for Beto and his future in L4.

Richarlison could replace Beto at Everton
There aren’t many Everton fans who wouldn’t welcome Richarlison back to Merseyside with open arms after his previous spell.
The man signed from Watford just got what it meant to play for the Toffees and showed his desire to play every week in blue.

It is fair to say that this sort of attitude has returned under Moyes, with the likes of Jarrad Brathwaite and James Tarkowski putting their bodies on the line.
If the Brazilian were to make a return to Goodison, it would certainly be interesting to see what would be done with Beto in the transfer market.
