The Toffees could certainly do with three points, having won just one of their last nine Premier League games.

That leaves David Moyes’ men in 15th place, with Wolves recently overtaking them after flirting with the relegation zone.

Goodison Park will turn blue with a memorable display to mark the penultimate home game of the season before leaving for Bramley-Moore Dock.

So, it promises to be a superb atmosphere, however, the Premier League have just announced something that Everton supporters won’t be happy about.

Premier League announce Paul Tierney will be on VAR for Everton vs Ipswich Town

Everton have been on the wrong end of a number of refereeing decisions this season.

Just the other week, Mark Clattenburg explained that the Toffees should’ve been awarded a penalty against Nottingham Forest.

At the start of April, Clattenburg claimed that VAR operator Paul Tierney missed an offside which led to the only goal in the Merseyside derby.

And now, the Premier League have announced that Tierney will be put on VAR duty for Everton’s game this weekend, which might not go down well among the Goodison Park faithful.

Everton vs Ipswich: Last five meetings

Ipswich Town actually have the superior record against Everton in the last five meetings, although, four of them came at the start of the century.

The most recent clash saw the Toffees come away from Portman Road 2-0 victors, with Iliman Ndiaye and Michael Keane on the scoresheet.

Moyes’ men will be the favourites in this one, of course, as Ipswich have already been relegated back to the Championship.
