One man who is never afraid to share his love for Howe is Bruno Guimaraes, who has been singing his manager’s praises ahead of tomorrow’s vital trip to Brighton.
Speaking to FourFourTwo, Bruno Guimaraes has been speaking about Eddie Howe, as a man and manager, revealing what makes the Newcastle United boss so special.
Bruno speaks glowingly about Howe as a “fabulous human being” and praises his man-management skills, whether it’s on the pitch, in private, in the dressing room or when speaking to the media.
“It’s tough to describe what a fabulous human being he is: you’d have to work with him on a daily basis to get the full picture of what I’m talking about,” Bruno said.
“As a person, he’s a sensation – a true legend. He’s gifted with strong man-management skills. He knows exactly the best way to talk to you in private, in the dressing room and in the press.”
The Brazilian then added: “He is by far the best European coach I’ve had. No doubt he’ll be England manager one day. He still has a long and promising career ahead of him.”
Bruno then claimed that our Carabao Cup final win over Liverpool was down to him, revealing his message to the players ahead of the game and bold move that shocked Arne Slot’s side:
“I have no doubt that we beat Liverpool because of him. He was like, ‘We’re not dropping our lines; we’ll keep pressing high, man to man.’ Liverpool weren’t expecting that at all.”
Howe: The perfect man for Newcastle United?
Eddie Howe has been a breath of fresh air at Newcastle, proving to be the perfect fit in the St James’ Park hotseat.
He’s measured yet passionate, a workaholic who eats, sleeps and breathes football, he gets the fans and what it means to us all, is always improving and has developed so many players – new and old – since arriving in 2021.
His tactics and big-game delivery are also on the rise, highlighted by his game plan in our 2-1 win over Liverpool at Wembley and our recent run of 20 wins from our last 26, seeing us respond superbly to a previously inconsistent start to 2024/25.
