Leeds United are showing interest in a move for Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy ahead of the summer transfer window, former scout Mick Brown has revealed.
The Whites are reportedly expected to target the 38-year-old veteran striker ahead of their return to the Premier League as they look to bolster Daniel Farke’s options up front.
Brown claims Leeds are not particularly content with their strikers at the moment, despite winning the Championship with 95 goals, and have identified Vardy as an ‘excellent’ option in the market.
The former England international has announced he will be leaving Leicester once his contract expires in June, after 13 seasons with the club.

Brown, speaking to Football Insider, has claimed that Vardy will be a target for Leeds this summer and suggested he would be an ‘excellent’ addition to Farke’s frontline:
“Jamie Vardy will be a target for Leeds. They like to get on top of teams at Elland Road, it’s like wave after wave of attack.
“They don’t think the strikers they’ve got at the moment are good enough to score regular goals for them in the Premier League.
“Vardy would fit that bill, he’ll be on the end of the chances they create, he’d be excellent in that regard.
“Plus, he’s got that experience in the Premier League which is so valuable to promoted sides.”
Vardy, praised as ‘truly phenomenal’, has been productive up front for Leicester this season, scoring eight goals and providing three assists in 33 league appearances.
The £140,000-a-week striker is the Foxes’ top scorer in the competition and added another to his tally in the 2-0 win over Southampton last weekend.
Vardy netted 18 times as Leicester were crowned Championship winners last term and has been a crucial figure in the club’s most successful period, leading the Foxes to Premier League and FA Cup triumphs in 2016 and 2021, respectively.
