Celtic will find it hard to sign Mathias Kvistgaarden this summer if Bundesliga high-fliers Eintracht Frankfurt enter the race, sources have told Football Insider.
Football Insider revealed in February that Brendan Rodgers’ side will try again to sign the Brondby star, 23, in the summer transfer window.
Kvistgaarden is a long term target for Celtic, who weighed up moves for the striker last summer and in January.
However, it is believed Frankfurt’s interest in the Denmark Under-21 international will make a deal more difficult for the Hoops.

The German side sit third in the Bundesliga and are on course to qualify directly for the Champions League next season.
European football notwithstanding, sources say Kvistgaarden would prefer a move to Germany over a Glasgow switch.

The 23-year-old has hit 22 goals and notched five assists in 34 appearances across all competitions.
He is under contract with Danish giants Brondby, who sit third in the Superliga table, until June 2027.
Kvistgaarden, who hit seven goals in 17 Denmark Under-21 appearances, can play as a left-winger, centre-forward and as an attacking midfielder.

Celtic are on the hunt for a permanent Kyogo Furuhashi replacement following his move to Ligue 1 side Rennes in January.
Adam Idah has stepped up to replace the Japan international in the meantime and scored a crucial leveller in Sunday’s (4 May) Old Firm clash with Rangers.
Idah, 24, has hit 18 goals in 50 appearances across all competitions for Celtic this term.
