Darts sensation Luke Littler felt the full force of the bitterness when he featured in the Premier League Darts night held at the First Direct Arena.
Littler fires back after Leeds fans wind him up
The 18-year-old was constantly booed and goaded by the fans, probably mostly by those with an Elland Road persuasion.
A report from the Sun (9 May, page 50) claims that as he was walking out for his quarter-final match-up with Nathan Aspinall, the United supporter made a yawn gesture as the relentless mocking continued before giving the crowd a crying baby sign.
It states that he later made a 4-1 gesture to the camera during the walkout for the night’s final against Whites supporter Luke Humphries, as the Manchester side beat Athletic Bilbao in their Europa League semi-final clash.
Littler said after the contest: “You see it all the time, especially with the Leeds fans, it’s just banter.
“The one where I did the tears, they obviously wanted Nathan to hit it, I got that 5-4 up lead, I had to get myself back into it.”

Leeds fans will want to do Manchester United double next season
Littler did little to appeal to the Whites supporters before the event when he revealed a wind-up with Humphries, labelling the Peacocks as an “easy six points” next season.
Top-flight survival may be a tough ask for Farke’s side, given the gap in quality between the divisions, which seems to be at an all-time high but victory over the Red Devils is not exactly far-fetched.

Ruben Amorim’s side are 15th in the top tier after a dismal domestic campaign and if they fail in their pursuit of European success, it will be the worst season in United’s recent history.
If Leeds can make some big moves in the transfer window to improve their squad, there is no reason why they cannot do the double over the Old Trafford outfit and compound Littler’s misery.
The darts ace should not be so confident that his side will destroy the Yorkshire outfit, just because they are a newly-promoted team, United are not great and can be beaten easily.
