Viljami Sinisalo has described in shocking detail his experience at Ibrox during Rangers vs Celtic last weekend.
The Celtic goalkeeper played in the 1-1 Glasgow derby draw with Kasper Schmeichel currently making his recovery from a shoulder injury.
The Finnish stopper – who signed for the Hoops last summer for £1m from Aston Villa – has revealed he was hit on the leg by an object thrown from the stands.
He claims bottles, lighters, coins, vapes and mugs were launched onto the Ibrox pitch and says he saw “30 to 40 objects” strewn across the surface.
Sinisalo highlighted that Arne Engels and Greg Taylor have also been hit by missiles and explained how it affected him during the game.

Brendan Rodgers blasted Rangers fans’ behaviour after the game and now, Sinisalo has made some disgusting revelations.
He said at his Friday press conference at Lennoxtown: “I see some mention that there was a bottle thrown at me. It wasn’t just a bottle by the way.
“First of all, I was hit with something, not in my upper body just somewhere in my lower leg. It wasn’t just a bottle, it was lighters, vapes, coins, mugs, all sorts flying.
“When you think of it, let’s say that glass bottle on the pitch hits me or someone else, what happens then? What if it hits you in the eye and you can’t play football after that? That’s the question that we need answers for.
“I know it is not the first time it has happened. I was there when Arne (Engels) was hit with something. Greg (Taylor) has been hit, Joe Hart has been hit, a staff member has been hit with something.
“It’s not the first time it has happened. You’re hoping that they stop it eventually, trying to not give anything back I suppose.
“It doesn’t really affect you, it’s not nice but you try to focus on the game. It’s such an important game, and there is so much at stake every time you play a game like that.

“You can’t let it affect you because that’s what people want. I’m just trying to do my job. There are not many jobs where you get a bottle thrown at you.
“I don’t know how people identify who it is because there is a lot of people throwing them, I’m talking 30 to 40 objects on the pitch. It’s not just one individual.”
Rangers want ‘formal approval’ for future Ibrox tifo displays
Rangers fans were also heavily criticised for the tifo display at Ibrox against Celtic, which showed Graeme Souness pointing a handgun in the direction of the 2,000 Hoops fans.
The tifo was captioned: “Take Aim Against The Rebel Scum”. Rangers blasted the banner and Police Scotland launched an investigation into the situation.
Now, it is being reported by The Herald that Rangers wanted ‘formal approval’ for all tifo displays at Ibrox going forward.
But minutes from a key meeting between Rangers chiefs and the fan advisory board on Tuesday read: “The club’s decision to allow fan groups full discretion over tifo content without prior approval has now been recognised as placing both the club and fan groups in a challenging situation.
“The club acknowledges that it is not right to abdicate judgement on matters of regulatory compliance and reputation management to fan groups.
“The club suggested a formal approval process for future club-facilitated fan displays will be required to safeguard both fans and the club.
“However, the FAB as a group could not agree to this as it would require collaboration and discussion with the fan groups who create the tifos.
“The club acknowledged this and will follow up with those groups separately.”
