Leeds United are in the race to sign James McAtee as a Manchester City exit looks increasingly likely this summer.
The Whites have been linked with a move for the 22-year-old for many months despite no deal going through at Elland Road.
A deal could now be more likely as Daniel Farke’s side confirmed their place in the Premier League by winning the Championship on 100 points.
This could be set to accelerate a deal in LS11 with a departure from Man City being discussed for McAtee once again.

It is highly likely that the window will be a busy one for Leeds, with survival in the top division being of paramount importance.
This comes after six out of the last six newly promoted sides have tasted relegation, regardless of large transfer spend ahead of the season.
The Whites will be hopeful that they can bring in quality players who can improve their squad to a level to be competitive in the league.
McAtee could prove to be a wise addition after a largely positive campaign, after becoming a regular member of the squad at the Etihad.

With that being said, Pep Guardiola could still look to part ways with the midfielder, with Leeds set to battle with Nottingham Forest, West Ham, Crystal Palace and Bayer Leverkusen for his signature.
The Sunday Mirror reported on 11 May (page 64) that City value the England under-21 international at £25million with his contract set to expire next year.
A deal could be on the cards moving into the summer if the ex-Sheffield United loanee doesn’t want to fight for his place with the Citizens.
McAtee to represent coup for Leeds United
After such lengthy interest in the Englishman, it does feel as if McAtee is one of the main targets for Leeds heading into the summer.
This could prove to be a wise move for Farke and Co., given what the 22-year-old has shown at Man City and on multiple loan spells.
The attacking midfielder has plenty of ability with the ball at his feet and will be hopeful of improving in front of goal if he were to move to Elland Road.
With Joe Rothwell returning to Bournemouth after his loan spell, the addition of McAtee could prove to be an ideal option in the heart of midfield.
Alongside Ao Tanaka and Ilia Gruev in the midfield, there is every chance of a positive relationship forming in the Premier League.
