Agbonlahor has ‘shocking’ encounter with Leeds fan
Back home, Leeds fans are not missing any chances to take aim at supporters of rival clubs, with Agbonlahor being the latest victim.
Asked if he received an invite for the trip to Las Vegas by Alan Brazil on talkSPORT, the pundit admitted that the Whites faithful do not like him.
He revealed that one Leeds fan smashed the ball at him on behalf of his fellow supporters at Elland Road during a casual padel game, describing it as ‘shocking’.
“No, I didn’t Al, and I think Leeds fans don’t like me because I played padel yesterday, and one of the guys was from Leeds, and he hit the ball at me to finish the shot”, Agbonlahor said on talkSPORT (15 May, 6:19 am).
“And he’s gone, ‘that’s for all the Leeds fans out there’. Shocking! Smashed the ball at my leg, shocking mate.”
Brazil was quick to ask if Agbonlahor reacted to it, only for him to say that he laughed it off and admit that he has turned ‘soft’.
Agbonlahor replied: “We laughed about it. I know, I’m soft, mate. I wanted no trouble at the padel court.”
Although Brazil went on to point out that Agbonlahor does not indeed like Leeds, he suggested he should have done something in response on this occasion.
“He’s right, you don’t like Leeds, but at the same time, you don’t let someone say that to you”, he said.
The former Aston Villa captain thus suggested that he would hit the ball back at the fan next time in a witty reply.
“Yeah, do you reckon I should smash the ball back at him next time?”, Agbonlahor quipped.
Marathe backs Farke amid speculation
There has been a lot of speculation about Farke’s future in the wake of Leeds’ promotion, with reports suggesting that Marathe was considering sacking him.

However, Marathe has since rubbished those claims, extending his support towards Farke ahead of a huge season for the Whites.
