Of course, this is not the case for most other teams in Scotland, most of whom have now finished their campaigns. Rangers are amongst them.

This was another trophyless campaign for the Rangers. And also the third-straight season in the middle of which they ended up sacking a manager, as Philippe Clement’s name was added to the list that includes Mick Beale and Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
Barry Ferguson was brought in as interim head coach after the departure of Clement. He has never made it a secret that he wants the job on a permanent basis. But now, it has been made official that that won’t be the case.
As reported by the Rangers’ official website, the game at Hibernian was the final match in charge for Ferguson and his staff. He will now leave this role along with Neil McCann, Billy Dodds and Allan McGregor.

Ferguson had some memorable results during his time as Rangers manager. He ended an almost five-year wait for a win at Celtic Park. And somehow, he also got the better of Jose Mourinho in the Europa League.
But overall, the Rangers did not show enough improvement and were not able to close down the gap with Celtic, which stood at 17 points after 38 games. So, it is not hard to understand why the Ibrox club decided to part ways.
Of course, this means that the lack of stability at the top for the Rangers continues. They have been linked with plenty of managers recently but one would imagine that Celtic will be comfortable and ready, no matter who they end up appointing.
