Brendan Rodgers says ‘sorry’ to the Celtic fans for Scottish Cup defeat
The Celtic manager was despondent as he spoke to the club’s official media outlet to give his thoughts on the defeat to Aberdeen.
When asked if he had a message to the fans, Rodgers told Celtic TV [3m], “I think we would have liked nothing more than to give the Celtic fans that feeling of winning again and to take that through into the summer.
“Listen, we’ve given everything and I want to thank them for the support they have given throughout the season, and again they turn out today and give us everything.
“So I’m sorry we couldn’t get the trophy back to Celtic Park.”

The fans will be hoping that Rodgers uses the defeat as motivation to come back next season with a greater hunger to deliver the treble to the Celtic supporters.
