Clubs in the Saudi Pro League are keen on finding players from new nations as well as signing stars this summer.

It comes as part of a move to bring in new audiences and sell international TV rights.

The approach was a factor in Al Nassr’s bid for Brighton and Japan winger Kaoru Mitoma in January.

Meanwhile, Saudi clubs have also attempted to sign Egypt’s Mohamed Salah, Colombian winger Luis Diaz and Victor Osimhen of Nigeria in recent windows.

This summer’s transfer window in Saudi Arabia is not set to open until after the Club World Cup.

Clubs will have between July 20 and October 8 to complete their business.

Teams in the top-flight are also limited to a maximum of eight overseas players in their squads.

Son would need to change his mind if a move to Saudi Arabia was to be completed, though.

He currently wants to remain at Spurs, where he has a year left on his contract.

The 32-year-old is currently out of contract at the end of next season, having signed a new deal in January.

The victory also secured Champions League qualification despite finishing 17th in the Premier League.
