Archie Gray has spoken about the huge role that a senior Tottenham man has played in helping him settle into life at the club and has remarked that the player in question is fully deserving of being the Europa League champion, given the service he has given the club.
Understandably, Heung-min Son has received a lot of plaudits since Tottenham Hotspur’s historic success in Bilbao last Wednesday, given the loyalty he has shown to the club over the years.
The South Korean has been rewarded for his patience as he was the man to hoist aloft the trophy, with the images set to remain etched into Spurs folklore forever.
Son admitted that he can finally call himself a Tottenham legend, but there is also one other player who has been at the club for even longer than the 32-year-old.

Davies has now been at Tottenham for eleven years since arriving from Swansea City back in 2014 at the start of the Mauricio Pochettino era.
The Welshman has experienced a lot of heartbreak at the club during that time but has always been a team man, and a reliable performer when called upon.
Gray has insisted that the defender richly deserves to get his name into the club’s record books and admitted that he would have struggled to settle in London if not for the Welshman’s help.
The Leeds academy graduate told SPURSPLAY: “Ben deserves every moment of this and more. He, his whole family, they’re incredible people, not just him. His whole family has taken me under their wing. They’ve really helped me this year.
“If he wasn’t here, I probably would have struggled a little bit off the pitch, on the pitch. I can’t say enough words about him. He’s been here for me the whole year. I wouldn’t have been able to do what I’ve been able to do so far this year without him.
“For him, this moment, he deserves it 10 times over. What a player. The things he’s done for this club are incredible and he’ll continue to do it as well. He’s a great professional and a great guy as well.”
Archie Gray cannot wait to taste Champions League football
Archie Gray could not have imagined that his first season at Tottenham would end in such historic fashion, and the 19-year-old has revealed what he plans to do with his medal.
When asked about where he will put his winner’s medal, he said: “I think I might give it to my little brothers at home, so they can look up to it a little bit. Hopefully, it will make them work a bit harder.”
Tottenham will be back in the Champions League in the 2025-26 season after a two-year absence and the teenager is excited to test himself at the highest level.
When asked about having the chance to play in Europe’s premier club tournament next season, Gray said: “Yeah, it’s incredible to say. Like everyone, it’s a childhood dream to play in the Champions League. Hopefully, I can do that next year. I can’t wait.”
