Leeds United’s quest to bring title-clinching hero Manor Solomon back to Elland Road has hit a fresh roadblock.
The summer transfer window will open wide, for an initial nine days at least, on June 1 and Leeds United look ready to pounce.

Daniel Farke wants to significantly improve his squad to give Leeds the best possible chance of Premier League survival.
An upgrade on Brenden Aaronson in the No.10 role appears to be a top priority with Gustavo Hamer, Frank Lampard’s favourite Jack Rudoni and Aston Villa playmaker Emi Buendia all being heavily linked this week.
But it’s far from the only position Leeds want to recruit in and left-winger Manor Solomon remains a top target.
The Tottenham Hotspur forward enjoyed a great year on loan at Leeds and his goal contributions towards the end of the season were vital in getting the Whites over the line.
Solomon scored the last-gasp winner to clinch the Championship title against Plymouth and Leeds want him back on a permanent basis.
However, Tottenham are waiting to make their final decision, according to fresh reports.

Tottenham to decide Ange Postecoglou fate before making Manor Solomon decision
It had appeared that the transfer would soon be going ahead after a report on Thursday claimed Tottenham had told Solomon to leave the club.
Leeds fans were delighted with the news as they hope to see Solomon back at Elland Road for next year’s Premier League campaign.
However, it doesn’t look like Solomon’s return will be quite so swift after a fresh report on Friday.
The Daily Mail suggests that Leeds ‘will likely have to wait’ for a decision on Solomon until Daniel Levy settles the fate of manager Ange Postecoglou.
Spurs endured an appalling league season as they finished 17th and lost 22 games but Postecoglou did end the club’s 17-year wait for a trophy by winning the Europa League.
The Australian’s job is still in the balance but Leeds will be hoping he avoids the sack, given he doesn’t seem to rate Solomon highly and wouldn’t mind selling him.
How much would Manor Solomon cost Leeds United?
Reports suggest Tottenham want around £20m for Solomon this summer.
Leeds are expected to have a lot of money to spend in the transfer window, despite being subject to PSR restrictions.
Leicester City, Southampton and Ipswich all spent heavily last year, with the latter two exceeding well over £100m on new players.
It wasn’t enough to keep any of them up, though, which shows Leeds must spend wisely as well as lavishly.
£20m may be a large chunk of Leeds’ budget but it would be going on a player already settled and performing at Leeds and one with Premier League experience. It would be a smart investment.
