Everton ‘ready to sign players’ amid £100m transfer claim – Exclusive

Everton have got the feel-good factor back on Merseyside after a challenging few years in the North West.

Years of doubt threatened to relegate the Toffees, but they have rediscovered their mojo since David Moyes’ return.

Now, Everton can enjoy a summer of spending, given the healthy financial condition of the Premier League outfit.

Recent reports suggest Moyes is targeting a marquee signing to cement the Toffees’ move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Everton could spend £100million this summer

Several high-profile names have been linked with a move to Everton, including Manchester City forward Jack Grealish.

While the Toffees will face competition for Grealish, these are encouraging signs for the Hill Dickinson faithful.

Everton have been tipped to spend £100million this summer, and football finance expert Dan Plumley has addressed those claims while speaking exclusively to Goodison News.

“I didn’t perhaps expect them to spend £100m if you were playing a prediction game,” Plumley said.

“Let’s see on that one. However, nowadays, we know the way the market is, £100m could be two players, some of these prices that you pay on average for players, so it’s plausible.

“I do think we’ll see them be active in the market for sure, and that goes back to what’s happened at Everton over the last few years, coming out of that and having a strong finish to the season, and looking to kick on.

“Let’s see if it’s in and around that £100m, that might need to be caveated with a couple of outgoings as well. However, I think they will be active and that will be the statement of intent moving forward, to get them in the best possible footing for the new season, going into a new stadium.”

Moyes can attract top talent to the Hill Dickinson Stadium

The fact that the likes of Grealish and Liam Delap have been linked with a move to the North West is testament to the job done by Moyes.

Not only has he cemented Everton’s Premier League status, but he is also showing ambition in the transfer market. The Toffees are an intriguing pull this summer, given they are a big club moving into a 52,888-seater stadium.

For players like Grealish, it offers them the opportunity to be the main man and lead the Merseyside club into a new dawn. Whether they have £100m to spend or not, Everton are once again an attractive proposition for players.
