West Ham will reluctantly sell Mohammed Kudus in this transfer window amid interest from other Premier League clubs, Football Insider understands.
Speaking on Football Insider’s Inside Track Podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rouke revealed that Newcastle could look to quickly do a deal for the Hammers ace in order to beat rival interest from Chelsea to his services.
Following a disappointing season on the pitch, West Ham are facing an exodus of players this summer as their contracts or loan deals with the club expire.
They will need to be replaced with individuals who can help the club climb back up the Premier League table, which means sales may be needed in order to raise funds those signings.
As a result, Football Insider understands that West Ham could sell Kudus this summer with Newcastle and Chelsea among those keen on signing the Ghana international.

Newcastle United need for Mohammed Kudus rises
With a new right-sided attacker seemingly on the agenda at St James’ Park, Newcastle have been interested in a deal for Bryan Mbeumo this summer.

However, the Brentford attacker now looks set for a move to Man United, which will leave the Magpies looking at other targets such as Kudus.
O’Rourke has now explained that after that blow in their pursuit of Mbeumo, Newcastle may have to move quickly to take advantage of West Ham’s own need to raise funds to sign Kudus ahead of the likes of Chelsea.
“There’s also going to be competition for Kudus’ signature.” he told Inside Track when discussing the race to sign the West Ham star.
“I think Chelsea have shown a bit of an interest as well offering a player exchange, which I don’t think West Ham are that keen on. So Newcastle will have to move quickly to try and get this deal done for Kudus.
“West Ham probably, reluctantly, will sell him, because they know they have to, sort of fund their own rebuild of the squad, and Kudus will be sacrificed because of that.”

There will be a concern for those at the London Stadium that if they let Kudus go, he will be able to rediscover some of the form he lost during the 2024/25 campaign.
The winger has excelled for the Hammers in the past, and if he does that at another club, they will start to feel they have missed out.
Even so, a squad is more important than the individual, and if selling Kudus earns them the funds to sign multiple players, they may still see this as being a beneficial deal.
Indeed, this sale would reduce the need for West Ham to sell the talismanic Jarrod Bowen, who they will be desperate to keep, this summer and in that sense this could be a big boost for the club.
