NEW DEVELOPMENT: Tottenham make huge Bryan Mbeumo transfer decision

Tottenham Hotspur fans have been handed some bad news by Italian journalist Rudy Galetti about the club’s pursuit of Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo.

Over the last few days, various sources have claimed that Tottenham were posing a significant challenge to Man United for Mbeumo.

Various outlets had even claimed that Spurs were willing to offer a bigger transfer fee and a better salary than Man United for Mbeumo, as they pushed to reunite the 25-year-old with Thomas Frank.

However, some reports continued to maintain that Mbeumo prefers to move to Old Trafford over North London, with the Red Devils determined to win the race for his signature, and it appears that they may now be on the verge of doing so.

Tottenham call off their pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo
It has now been revealed by journalist Rudy Galetti that the Lilywhites are now set to face defeat in their quest to hijack United’s deal for the Brentford star.

He took to social media to reveal that Tottenham Hotspur have now cooled their interest in the Cameroon international after learning that the player only wants to join the Red Devils.

Galetti added that Spurs now believe that it is “almost impossible” for them to change Mbeumo’s mind and to beat Ruben Amorim’s men to the forward’s signature.

Spurs have already identified an alternative to Mbeumo
It appears that Spurs may have anticipated missing out on the Brentford man as several outlets have claimed over recent days that the club had identified a backup option for the Cameroonian.

Tottenham have allegedly zeroed in on Antonine Semenyo as their top alternative to Mbeumo, with the Lilywhites said to be big fans of the Bournemouth star.

In fact, TEAMtalk suggested on Monday that Spurs are growing in confidence about securing a deal for Semenyo, with the report claiming that the Cherries value the winger at £60m.
