Everton in talks with Premier League right-back in huge blow for Kyle Walker
Everton are in talks with free agent Kenny Tete which could end Kyle Walker’s hopes of landing on Merseyside.
talkSPORT understands that the Toffees are in discussions with the right back who didn’t renew his contract with Fulham after five seasons at Craven Cottage.

If the Dutchman were to join Everton, any deal for Walker to join the club would be off.
talkSPORT earlier reported that the Toffees have a genuine interest in the 96-time England international but were yet to make any official approach.
Walker is surplus to requirements at Manchester City having spent the second half of the 2024/25 season on loan at AC Milan.
The 35-year-old began the campaign as City’s captain, but is now looking for a new side with 12 months left on his contract at the Etihad.

Milan and Walker didn’t find an agreement to keep him in Italy, and he’s since been cut from City’s Club World Cup squad in further confirmation that his time is up with the club.
Walker has already received an approach from Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce, but Everton may be in need of experience after Ashley Young’s departure.
Asked about a potential deal, former Toffees manager Sean Dyche told talkSPORT: “They’re probably at that stage where they still need that kind of professional depth of some players.
“We had it with Youngie, obviously Seamus [Coleman]. Kyle Walker, I don’t know him personally.
“But the way he conducts himself, his history and his depth of knowledge of the game is quite obvious.
“I think there will be investment there, but I don’t think it will be a wild investment, I don’t think they’ve got hundreds of millions.

“Because they can’t go back down the road that we’re going down. Obviously, you can’t go back down [with] them points deductions and all that sort of stuff.
“So it still has to be monitored going forward I think, their spending. I don’t know the truth of the amounts, but it will have to be balanced out still against financial fair play to make sure the club’s in better health as it goes forward.”
Everton currently have Nathan Patterson and Coleman as options at right-back after losing Young.
