The transfer window is officially open and things are intensifying regarding transfer news and rumours with every passing day of the window for Leeds United.
A busy summer is expected at Leeds as Daniel Farke looks to improve several areas of the side, with the Leeds squad far from ready ahead of the club’s return to the Premier League in spite of movement to bring in Lukas Nmecha and Jaka Bijol imminently.

Forward Evann Guessand of OGC Nice

Evan Guessand update amid interest from Leeds and other Premier League clubs
Versatile wide forward or striker Evann Guessand is one of the forwards on Leeds’ radar. The 23-year-old Ivorian international scored 12 and collected a further eight assists in a terrific campaign for OGC Nice last season.
Guessand was linked with a move to Leeds back in February but recent reports revealed how Wolves led Leeds and others in the Guessand race this summer. A handful of other Premier League clubs have been linked, including Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Spurs.
However, Leeds and the rest could now miss out because Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce want Guessand, and the versatile Nice forward could sign for the Turkish club who now lead the race.

Valentina Atangana is a possible midfield option for Leeds
Leeds also need at least one new midfielder at the base of their midfield, with Leeds linked to Noah Sadiki, as well as Sean Longstaff, and also Habib Diarra in recent weeks.

Valentin Atangana has emerged as another option for Leeds following Stade de Reims’ relegation to Ligue 2 in France. They need to raise cash and the 19-year-old is one way to do that.
It would cost Leeds around £9 million to secure the ‘ball-winner’ and bolster their midfield depth. Atangana has also been compared with N’Golo Kante and he has caught the attention of “numerous Premier League” teams.

Fresh Joe Gomez links emerge to Leeds United
It’s previously been reported that Gomez is the third Liverpool player on Leeds’ shortlist this summer, with the defender able to operate at centre-back or right-back.
That said, Leeds fans are stunned at Liverpool’s Gomez price tag. That could be a potential stumbling block in securing his services to bolster their pool of defensive options further.
Interest in Gomez from Leeds appears to be growing, per the latest reports. The 28-year-old has two years left on his Anfield contract and is further down the pecking order than he would perhaps like.
