Everton appear to be closing in on a new right-back, with Kenny Tete expected to complete a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
David Moyes has already snapped up Carlos Alcaraz on a permanent deal following his loan move, and the Scot should have his second signing sealed soon.
Tete’s contract at Fulham is about to expire.
Despite Fulham offering Tete an extension, the player has opted to move on – and Everton are now primed to sign the Dutchman.
Just before Everton’s agreement for Tete was made public though, another right-back was mentioned as a possible incoming.
Everton were linked with Kyle Walker, who is looking for a new club following his loan move for AC Milan from Manchester City.

Walker will move to a new club this summer.
He seems not to have a future at City, and at this stage, it is anyone’s guess who he could join.
But it seems like his next club won’t be Everton, if Tete completes his move as expected.
In truth, Everton’s interest in Walker was fairly loose, with Patrick Boyland shedding some light on the situation on The Blue Room.
He said: “I found it a little bit surprising when I, as ever, see something elsewhere then start looking into it myself.
“What I was getting back very quickly was the sense that, ‘No, this is not something we’re actively pursuing’.
“So it’s a little bit ‘we’re a little bit surprised this is in the public domain’. My guess, for most of these things, and I’m not going to categorically say it for the Kyle Walker instance, because I don’t know. But most of these things tend, from my experience, to come from agents and agencies trying to alert the market.
“The fact that their client is available, so very quickly after the Everton links you then had Fenerbahce mentioned. Walker has obviously been on loan at AC Milan but is going back to Man City and I don’t think he’s going to be a part of the picture (there) moving forward, so he’ll need something.
“I don’t think it was a definitive ‘no’ from Everton. But certainly, it was a bit more of a ‘We’re a little bit surprised’, because we’re not actively pursuing him’. I think the sense was that they were being used a little bit.”
