What Jack Harrison has been spotted doing in Argentina ahead of Leeds United return

The Jack Harrison saga continues with the winger set to return to Leeds United this summer. His two-year loan spell at Everton has come to an end, returning to parent club Leeds following promotion.
Harrison was one of eight players to use Victor Orta’s relegation loan clause in the summer of 2023, to the utter anger of Leeds supporters. Max Wober and Brenden Aaronson have since returned to Leeds.
Five have left permanently, namely Rasmus Kristensen, Robin Koch, Luis Sinisterra, Diego Llorente and Marc Roca. Harrison is the anomaly, with promotion meaning his relegation loan clause is not active.
Having signed a new deal until the summer of 2028 a few months before Leeds were relegated, the uncapped Englishman has a contract at Leeds for another three years. Everton confirmed he is leaving.

Jack Harrison spotted alongside Everton pal during off-season
The £11m Leeds signing is expected to leave. Indeed, MLS clubs have shown interest in Harrison with the wide man having come through the ranks at New York City and playing with Andrea Pirlo and David Villa.
But there is every chance that Daniel Farke decides to take a look at Harrison, who would provide plenty of Premier League experience. Harrison has been spotted training in Argentina during the off-season.
Indeed, a picture was uploaded that shows Harrison training ahead of a return to Leeds’ pre-season. The picture includes a Boca Juniors’ logo in the background, and Everton’s Orel Mangala, who is also exiting.

Why Jack Harrison may have a future at Leeds after all…
Leeds have three options with Harrison. They cannot release him given the enormous amount it would cost in compensation, given he has three years remaining on his Elland Road contract at the moment.

They can sanction another loan move, which is probably the most likely option. But that means Leeds will not be able to bring in any cash if that is the case, probably just wiping a portion of his wages out.
Leeds can sell him, but interest in Harrison is likely to be minimal. This is a player that will believe he still has time left in the Premier League before he does inevitably return to America and join an MLS club.
Or, Leeds and Harrison agree to take some heat and bring him back. With Thomas Frank taking a look at Manor Solomon and Junior Firpo off to Betis, the left flank needs work and Harrison saves Leeds money.
