Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly locked in negotiations over the sale of Alejo Veliz, with reports indicating that the North London club have received two offers for the Argentine forward over the last few days.
Regular readers of Spurs Web will be aware that the 21-year-old striker has been heavily linked with a return to his home country this summer.
It was initially reported that Rosaria Central want to re-sign Veliz from Spurs, two years on from selling the centre-forward to the North London club.
Earlier this week, it was revealed Spurs had accepted a $5m (£3.6m) offer from Racing Club de Avellaneda for Veliz, which would have seen the Premier League side retain a 40 per cent sell-on clause on the player.
However, over recent days, Racing sources have denied making an offer for Veliz, although they did confirm their interest in the striker.
Racing Club de Avellaneda are going all out to sign Veliz
A new report from Racing de Alma has now claimed that the Argentine club are going all out for the young striker and have now made their first formal offer in recent hours.
According to this update, Racing’s offer is worth $5m (£4.2m) and Spurs will be entitled to receive 30% of profits from a future sale.

They back up the claim about Racing’s latest offer and say that the Argentine club and Tottenham are ‘currently in full negotiations’ for the former Rosaria Central man.

Interestingly, Ole also reveal that apart from Racing, another unnamed club have also sent an offer to Tottenham Hotspur regarding Veliz. They assert that the young centre-forward is also attracting interest from clubs in Brazil and Europe.
The outlet adds that the North London side has made it clear that they will only consider selling the youngster this summer if the deal sees them retaining a considerable sell-on clause on the player.
This may suggest that the decision-makers at Tottenham are convinced about Veliz’s talent and are a little reluctant to let him leave permanently despite his struggles out on loan at Espanyol and Sevilla, and thus want to secure some insurance.
