Everton make permanent transfer decision on Jack Harrison

Leeds still have two players on their books that they would rather ditch as soon as a decent permanent transfer offer comes their way, having exercised loan clauses in their contracts for the second successive seasons.

Rasmus Kristensen is enjoying his spell at Eintracht Frankfurt, but the same cannot be said of Jack Harrison at Everton, despite recently-appointed manager David Moyes steering the Toffees well clear of relegation trouble.

After nearly two seasons at Goodison Park, one would assume that Harrison has made enough of an impression under both Sean Dyche and now Moyes to warrant discussions over a permanent transfer.

Football Insider are reporting that this isn’t the case, though, with Moyes and The Friedkin Group in agreement that they won’t pursue a move to sign Harrison on a long-term deal.

Harrison is yet to score a goal or register an assist this season from nearly 1500 minutes and 27 appearances across all competitions.

Moyes’ potential frustration in Harrison was summed up by footage of the Toffees boss left fuming as the Leeds winger whipped a corner straight out of play in the midst of an “industrious” yet toothless showing away at Brentford this week.

Leeds need to find permanent buyer for Harrison at any feasible price

He’s not going to be welcome back at Leeds in any capacity, so the best thing for him and the club is to find a permanent buyer in the summer window.

Everton are probably right for pulling the plug on any discussions to sign Harrison, as their fans are vocally not on board with him playing for them.

You would hope that what he’s shown in the top flight prior to this season is enough for some clubs to potentially take a gamble on him.

He’s shown enough in our three seasons to be worth a punt, but his inconsistency has always been a massive shortcoming.
