Chris Sutton admits Everton are making him look foolish, and their fans will be loving every second
Not many fans would have even hoped for the run of form which David Moyes has brought back to Merseyside.
However, Everton are now looking ahead with a much brighter future being promised under the 61-year-old manager.
Moyes has proven a number of pundits wrong, who suggested he may not have been the right man to replace Sean Dyche.
Although Chris Sutton may not have been as critical as others, there is one thing which he has admitted the Blues are currently making him look foolish about.
Big changes are being made at Everton off the field ahead of what is set to be an exciting summer for the club.
Moyes has been able to stabilise the club so the Friedkins have been able to turn their attention to the future of the club.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Sutton has admitted he has been expecting Everton to slip up over recent weeks, but they have continued to prove him wrong.
“I keep on expecting Everton to slip up under David Moyes but it has not happened yet,” he said.
“I think their fans are quite enjoying seeing me writing them off, and then being proved wrong when they get a positive result.
“Since losing his first game back in charge, against Aston Villa, Moyes has won four and drawn three in the Premier League, which is seriously impressive.
“Bearing that in mind, I am not going to predict an Everton defeat here, but this game smells of a draw to me, even though Wolves will be without the suspended Matheus Cunha.”
Even Paul Merson is predicting an Everton win against Wolves, and he was one of the pundits who claimed Moyes was not the right man for the job.
With some big games coming up, the Toffees could really do with three points on Saturday.
Everton should be eyeing a top half finish
Despite a dreadful start to the season under Dyche, the Toffees have been able to pull themselves 15 points clear of the bottom three.
Moyes has even been praised by his former Everton players for the stunning turnaround on Merseyside.
Fortunately, the teams a few places above them have not really been able to pull away.
Everton have some really difficult fixtures coming up in April which is going to make these next two games against Wolves and West Ham really important.
Putting six points on the board by the end of the month could help push the Toffees up the table and offer them even more reassurance ahead of April.
