David Moyes is set to speak to his Everton staff about a sensational potential return for Richarlison as he edges closer to a move away from Tottenham.

That is according to former Man United and Tottenham scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that the Toffees are interested in bringing the 27-year-old back to Merseyside.

The boss will seek advise from the staff who have previously worked with the forward about whether a reunion would be a positive move for the club.

It has also been suggested that Richarlison regrets leaving Everton in a £60million deal in 2022.

Football Insider exclusively revealed in January that Richarlison wants to leave Tottenham and has his eyes set on a move to the Saudi Pro League.

That interest is said to have lingered, but a return to Everton where he remains a hero amongst the fans could present itself in the summer.

David Moyes holds internal talks about Richarlison return

Brown told Football Insider in February that Tottenham are open to selling Richarlison for the right price as he is not part of Ange Postecoglou’s long-term plans.

Now, the former scout who worked closely with Moyes during his time at West Ham and has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment, has insisted that the forward would be a good fit for Everton under Moyes’ guidance.

“I’ve never been the biggest fan of Richarlison if I’m honest,” he told Football Insider.

“But he’s always a firecracker of a player and he gets the odd goal which would be good for Everton.

“His move to Tottenham has been difficult and now it looks like he’ll be leaving.

“They know him inside out at Everton, part of him probably wishes he never left there.

“Moysey will know what he’s getting with him, and he’ll be speaking to his staff at Everton – many of whom have worked with Richarlison before.

“They’ll be in the best position to advise whether they should bring him back or not.

“But there’s been talk of a move to Saudi Arabia two, who would be able to offer him more money, so it might be taken out of Everton’s hands.”

Everton planning to back David Moyes in summer spending spree

Everton are now putting plans in place as they look to back Moyes in the summer transfer window, with multiple positions being targeted.

A new striker is being eyed as interest in Richarlison remains strong, but Moyes is also keen to add new wingers to his squad at the end of the season.

Brown told Football Insider last month that Everton want to sign the next Iliman Ndiaye as Moyes plans to add more flair and creativity to his side.

More recently, Jack Harrison looks set to leave Everton, and he will be replaced in the transfer window as they plan to avoid being caught short of options out wide.
