Newcastle United player has given green light to join Everton this summer, David Moyes has already approved
David Moyes has offered the Toffees safety from Premier League relegation following his appointment in January.
Everton endured a quiet January transfer window due to the hold PSR has had over the club recently.
But there is the understanding that this summer will have to be different, with so many players set to leave at the end of their current deals.
Newcastle United want to replicate Everton’s stadium financing, but the Toon could be set to lose one of their players to the Toffees this summer.
Speaking to Everton News, TBR Football’s Chief Transfer Correspondent Graeme Bailey has shared his understanding on Sean Longstaff’s future.
Newcastle United’s Sean Longstaff approves Everton interest
Everton showed interest in Longstaff during the January transfer window, but were unable to reach an agreement.
According to Bailey’s sources, the Toffees will return once again in the summer for the 27-year-old midfielder.
It is understood a potential move to Bramley-Moore Dock would appeal to the Newcastle Academy product.
Longstaff was also in favour of an Everton move earlier in the year.

Moyes is believed to be a fan of Longstaff, but any potential deal would be reliant on whether the Toffees would match Newcastle valuation.
Going into the summer window, Longstaff will only have one year remaining on his current deal at St. James’ Park.
In January, it was reported that Newcastle were asking for around £12m for Longstaff, who has struggled for minutes this season.
What Jamie Carragher said about Sean Longstaff
Longstaff has struggled to really make an impact on Eddie Howe’s side this season following the return of Sandro Tonali.
Howe shut down a January exit for Longstaff, but has offered him a mere 22 minutes of Premier League football since the window shut.
However, the midfielder is someone who is very highly regarded by former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher.
Speaking after Newcastle’s victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League last season, Carragher waxed lyrical about the 27-year-old.
“I just wanted to mention, Sean, how long ago was it I gave you a call? 12 months ago?” Carragher said.
“Basically my son’s going through a few injury problems and he’d [Sean] been through similar ones. I didn’t know him but got hold of his number and we stayed in touch.
“[He was] brilliant on the phone you know and we spoke about basically as a footballer you have ups and downs and you get the rewards if you put your work in. And tonight, mate, this is your reward for one, coming through the injury but also the help that you give me and my son.”
