Duncan Ferguson makes a shocking revelation about what he told David Moyes during his time as a player which have send shockwaves in the internet
Scotland aren’t at the World Cup, but it’s St Andrew’s Day and talkSPORT wanted to celebrate one of the game’s most colourful characters in Duncan Ferguson.
This is the man who floored burglars for breaking into his house, a man with eight red cards in his Premier League career and an Everton legend. Yes, he was one of the game’s great strikers, but it’s his presence that everyone remembers – and loves.

David Moyes, though, his manager at Goodison for a number of years and fellow Scot, probably wished he kept it under control, as former teammate Steve Watson recalled.
“We were playing Bolton and he made contact with someone at a throw-in,” he told the Undr The Cosh podcast in July.
“Once you make contact with him, you’re taking your life in your hands, aren’t you?”
On this occasion it was Fredi Bobic. “Dunc threw a massive elbow and smashed him in the ribs.
“We went into the dressing room and Moyes went up to him and said: Big man, what were you thinking? You’ve let us down massively’.
“And Dunc said: ‘I know gaffer, I thought it was f***ing [Kevin] Nolan’. That was his reasoning!”

And while his Everton teammates tried not to laugh, publicly, the Toffees boss was more measured in the explanation.
“I told him he could have let his teammates down and he certainly let himself down. He admitted he was way out of order and that it wouldn’t happen again.
“But Duncan has led by example in the games since I made him captain and he’s played a big part in us getting the points that we’ve needed.”
Another occasion saw him floor Paul Scharner during a game against Wigan in 2006, which the FA came down hard on.
“He’s marking Dunc from a corner and they’ve had a bit of a scuffle anyway,” Watson explained. “Dunc’s thrown a right hook into the ribs and Scharner has just gone down.”

Watson explained it was the game that Jimmy Bullard was seen looking nervously at Ferguson before he was sent off.
“Dressing room afterwards. Moyes says: ‘F***ing hell, big man. You’re absolutely killing us.’ He said: ‘I know, I’m sorry, but I caught him a fing beaut.
“His excuses were brilliant, which is why you’ve got to love Dunc. He’s just as he is,” Watson added.
A great scorer, but hands down one of the biggest personalities the Premier League has ever seen.
